Evaluation feedback

Ellesse, we have spoken recently about the need to complete the evaluation and to attend all sessions. You can access extra support on Tuesdays at 4pm.  The seven questions need to be completed and use technology to present these answers if possible. 

Targets

1) Write an answer to each evaluation question

2) Attend fully

3) Sit apart from anyone who may distract you

4) Prepare for a VIVA style interview with me where you discuss your coursework so that we can record a video to improve your evaluation. We will start this on Tuesday at 4pm.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

During the course I have learnt a variety of new skills and better knowledge when using the technology we had to use

Blogger

For my conducting my coursework I have set up a Blog on Blogger.com, which was where I had to write up all my coursework. It made my coursework look organised and was a quick and easy way to upload my work for people to see. I had used Blogger before in the past for my personal usage therefore I know the site very well and know how use it however I didn't know how to embed videos from YouTube to my BlogSpot so I learnt how to do that.

YouTube

I had to use YouTube to upload my Final film. I know YouTube very well as I use it on a daily basis therefore I knew how to upload the video onto the site to that it could go onto my blog for people to see.

Social Media

To advertise my film I posted my film on my all my social media sites.  I posted my film on my Facebook page and my twitter so all my friends and follower could see the film I had produced.  Also I had to post my film on YouTube so that I could upload it onto my blog for people to see. I know how to use my social media site very well as I use them on a daily basis so it was easy for me to upload my film onto these sites.

Camera

To film we had to use a Sony handy camera. I have never used this camera before therefore I didn’t know how to use the camera very well. During the Primarily task we learnt how to use the basics of the camera and grow better knowledge about the camera so when it came to filming the film we knew what we were doing. The camera was quit and easy to learn the functions of the buttons so I didn’t have to spend too much time learning how to use the camera. I gained more knowledge about how to use the camera as we filmed. The qualities of the camera made my film look professional at an affordable budget. We also learnt how to use a tripod as I had never used a tripod before. The tripod help keeps the camera steady so you could get a perfect shot . We learnt how to put the camera on properly so that it was steady and secure. I learnt that all four of the tripods legs are supposed to be on the floor and clipped down.  We learnt how to tilt and create pan the shot using the tripod.

Adobe Premiere Elements

To edit out film we used software called Adobe Premiere Elements. This is a new program I have used to edit on therefore I didn’t know how to use it. When editing my primary task I gained knowledge on how to use it and all the things you could do to edit my film on this software so when it came to editing my film I knew what I was doing and was used to using the software. The software allowed me to edit, cut and add different transition such as fade, dissolve and overlap to my film so that I could fit all the clips I had filmed together.

Imac

I had never used a Mac Computer before so I had to try and adapt to a Mac computer as I’m used to using a PC. My teacher gave us the basic knowledge we need on how to use the Mac and then learnt and a expanded our knowledge from that.

Coursework feedback

Main Task- 39

Use of mise-en-scene in costume of the femme fatale and detective. Some shots using a vanishing point and perspective which allows the title to be overlaid on an arresting establishing shot.  A range of shot types are used whilst the titles identify actors. Continuity is clear with a clearly planned and storyboarded opening few shots. Simple dialogue provides an enigma which is further clarified in a scripted dialogue between two characters.  Camerawork in this sequence is less secure but meaning is made clear through a range of shot types, body language.  More ambition in use of locations, lighting etc would improve the piece but it is proficient in many of the technical skills allowing it to reach lower level 3

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Warner Brothers would be a a good institution  for film noir as film noir originated from Warner brothers. Warner brother was low budget production where film noir originated from. It was produced in the golden age of Hollywood
